I stepped out of the house two days ago and i took the company's car to do few things that needed to be done. Everything went well and i was heading back to work with excitement and a sense of fulfilment. As i was about to take the turn to my office from the express, i just heard a loud bang from the base of the car. A truck hit me from the back and didn't even have the decency to wait up. He fled.

I stood on that same spot, motionless. I don't know what to feel; anger, cry? Nothing. I didn't even know it was so bad. I left the place and kept driving and from the reactions i saw from passers by and people close to our office, i knew something bad must have been the case.

I got to work, i dropped, only then did i see the dented car to the left, at the back. I noticed the back windshield has been broken to pieces with nothing to salvage and the back light totally gone. Then reality set in and i started calculating how much it would cost me to fix it. I was filled with sadness. Thinking what could i have done better and i started thinking what if i had done things better. Maybe used the next junction? I shouldn't have answered them to take the car out? So many ifs but i lost focus on what was important; gratitude.

A lot of people who saw me when it happened came to office to explain better. They all said "We thank God for life", while i was busy focusing on my pocket. ALL of them were thankful for life, then gradually it started dawning on me too.

I was determined to get it fixed asap, so the next day, i took someone along to get the materials needed to fix it. I got someone to fix the dented part on a cheap. I got the light on a cheap too. I was blessed enough to see only the windshield, where under normal circumstances you would have to buy the whole booth. A lot of people were scared i won't be able to get these items quickly because the car is not that common, so it is expected that the parts would be scarce.

I blocked out all those "Scarcity", i just prayed that morning and told God i want it fixed that day and i will enjoy speed, and that was what happened. I got everything on a cheap and it was fast too. I got them so fast even we started looking for the person to fix them, because the guy felt it would take us longer.
