So, I came back after the weekend to see my follower count increased to 111. This may not seem like all that much, but to me you guys mean the world. I'm not active on any other social media, and everyone here has found me organically. I originally came to steemit to document my work and life's journey as I've never put this stuff up online before. The rewards were an added bonus, and I'm overwhelmed by the support I have received on this platform. if you'd told me when I joined, that I would be able to support my daily expenses just by writing genuinely about what I do, I wouldn't have believed it.

I'm particularly enamoured by the homesteading community here. It took me awhile to discover them as I've never heard that term before, but the people I've found are truly incredible. A lot of us started at the same time and we've grown together from reps of around 30 to around 50 now. I've engaged in genuine inspirational conversation with people both on my blog and through discord. I'm only just starting my adventures with homesteading. I thought it would a long lonely road, but have found footprints left behind by so many people to serve as guides. I'm looking forward to sharing my progress with you as I trudge down that road.

I'm also slowly discovering the art and creative communities and there's so much epicness there too. For anyone new to steemit, I highly encourage engaging with the topics that interest you as they all have wonderful communities behind them. I've been here a little over a month and I'm slowly integrating into these communities. That's why I feel you guys are more friends than followers, as you're not simply following but actually engaging with me.

I'm so excited and optimistic for this year as I feel like both me and steemit haven't reached their full potential yet. I didn't wanna name people specifically to keep this fair for all of you, but people of the deep-end at MSP, people of the front porch at homesteadersonline and most recently the unity guild, I love all of you. Thanks for joining me on my journey through life.

Keep on keeping on, full steem ahead!

Hello @soulturtle!
Just dropped in to say Thanks for voting my people in my Silver GAW contest! It's very tight and we need all the help we can get! ;)
FOLLOW, as you look like someone I can learn from...

Hey, it was my pleasure. Not sure what exactly the contest was about, but glad to help out @eaglespirit , she's truly amazing.

Tears, I love that you both are chatting. Two of my fav peeps. I also love the 111 post it is so sincere and loving. Are you really supporting yourself with this money? How? After busting hump for 7 weeks my acct only fluctuates between 900-1000 that won’t even pay my rent. God bless you @soulturtle and @undergound. Much love to you both. xx 🦅

That's the perk of living in a third world country. My rent in the hills is only around 150 US$ a month including food and electricity. So, the little bit I get here stretches a long way!

Wow that’s so very awesome and any way I can help you I will! xx

Congratulations @soulturtle! I'm glad to be following you here on Steemit.
Can't wait to read more about your homesteading adventures, it still might be a long journey but at least it won't be a lonely one!

Thank you! I'm glad you found this community and love reading your well designed and written posts. There's a bit of a learning curve, but I'm sure you're gonna be awesome!
