GRATITUDE DAY 16: TWO OF MY FRIENDS FINALLY PASSED MBBS EXAMINATION

By this time last year, my both friends studying Medicine & Surgery went through a lot. Let me start with Kosisochukwu, this guy so amazing that I'll always wish he was my kid brother, I've teased him many times to always call me Aunty Tochi.

Around April last year, he was in 3rd year class, about to sit for 2nd MBBS Exams which is a very rigorous exams. Some evenings when he wants to ease some tension, he'll just call me up and we'll sit and gist and later he'll go back to his books. Some days to the exams he called me to tell me that he's dad was terribly sick, I felt for him and cheered him up.

2 days later, he called me to tell me he lost his dad. That really shook me, and prompted me to question him to know the diagnoses given to his dad, he told me it was cancer of the brain.

He was depressed and lost interest in the exams. Soon, he was done with the exams and when result came out he failed 2 out of 3 courses. So, he had to repeat the class. At first, he told me he wanted out. I pleaded with him. According to him, last year was the darkest year for him.

My other friend Chinenye, She is a calm, hardworking girl. When she gives you the load down of her dreams and aspiration, you'll be amazed. Last year, she didn't resume her 3rd year class on time. So, she was disqualified some days before the 2nd MBBS exam. She came back crying and wailing. All me and some other people around did was to console and cheer her up. It took some days for her to accept reality. She had to also repeat 3rd year too.

The good news is, just yesterday when the result came out. they both called me to announce the good news. I'm so happy for them. These duo are so passionate about becoming a Doctor and I'm grateful cos' God has crowned their hard work with success.
