Gratitude Day 33: Grateful For Water

in gratitudeday33 •  7 years ago

seventy percent (70%) of the earth (lithosphere) is made up of water. Yet there are many places and people who do not have access to quality water.

Today is the 33rd day of @tojukaka's gratitude day challenge and I am grateful for water. A colourless, tasteless and odourless substance that keeps life flowing. Water forms the streams, oceans and rivers. We all know how important and indispensable water is. From its domestic to industrial and economic usage.

Some people have water flowing everywhere within their homes, while others will have to trek long distances to where they could locate a public tap or stream (for those residing in rural areas without tap water). Some get their water from a community or personal well, others buy from commercial sellers.

While water could be very common and affordable to others, it is a luxury to many. I am grateful to God the creator of water. I am thankful that I have water running in my house, from the kitchen to the toilet and bathroom. I'm grateful that I have access to quality tap water.

I am grateful that I can cook, wash and drink anytime because there's always water. I am not taking it for granted that I have access to water, and I am extremely grateful to God for it.

I am grateful that I can cook....

Mbok, can you cook? 😎

You just gave me a reason to be thankful.
When I served in Ebonyi State, water was such a luxury that corpers had to either hide water or steal it.
It was amusing as I have never had to stress over getting water but then I got used to it.

Thankfully, I'm back where water flows endlessly when needed.
It's a thing to be grateful for and you just reminded me to be thankful for that....

Ofcourse, I can cook. What would you like me to cook for you?

Hahaha, at stealing of water. During my service year in Delta, we didn't suffer for water except light. The compound where I was staying had tap water, though we used to pay a token to get it. When we have these experiences of water scarcity at other places, then we will realized how blesed we are to have water where we are. Thanks for stopping by

Can you cook edikang kong and Fried rice very well?
I'd love that.

I'm happy you didn't have to suffer for water 😂
You're right.
Sometimes, we don't know what we have until we experience being without it....

Cheers

Water is life,, I join you in this day gratitude because I remember serving in Benue state. One of our greatest challenge was water, the little you come across is unclean, unclear.
There is always something to be grateful for.

Absolutely, there's always something to be thankful for. I served in Delta, water wasn't a challenge except for light. Light was an issue, a major one, the one-year service witnessed total darkness except for generators and solar powered lights.
