Good evening my dear Steemians, I hope you all had a great day. Really, have a great day is more easier than having a "grateful" day!
Most folks are never grateful for the privileges they get in life, in fact, most people tend to "commonize" some privileges ( I know the word "commonize" is non standard; but most people use it anyways)!
Before I hit the nail on the head, let me quickly appreciate @tojukaka for creating this plateform where Steemians could share their gratitude with the rest of the world. I really appreciate your kind gesture. You are amazing @tojukaka.
Am really grateful for this new month
Yeah, am indeed very grateful for seeing today for two main reasons. And I intend to share those reasons with you, and here they are:
#1. Today is the first day of the month
Some see it as "the usual thing", but seriously, seeing a new month isn't a new thing. Did you know that some people lost their lives on the last day of June. Yes, indeed, some did. What does that suggest to you? Simply this: they could not make it to the new month even while it was a few hours away
But you and I are alive today, hail and healthy. Isn't that something worth being grateful for? Well, I think it is. But really, it's not something I just "think", it is something I "know" for sure.
I know seeing a new day of the month is a rare privilege many do not get the opportunity to see.
It is only wise of us to be grateful for what others would have wished to get but could not. Did you know many of those who could not make it to this month had the money to buy whatever they wanted, yet, the life itself isn't there anymore?
#2. Today marks the first day of the 2nd half of the year
Did you know that this new year looks like it all happened yesterday?
Well, to me, it was all like yesterday. We shouted "Happy New Year" together. But today, half of it has gone. I just know I should be grateful for that privilege to be counted among the living. It's really a unique opportunity and something that isn't quite common. I am grateful for that.
On a Final Note
Being grateful is one way of being lifted to greater heights. I would love to appreciate @tojukaka once again for creating this plateform for all Steemians to share what they are grateful for.
