What is SPARC? And Hexabot PLEASE HELP

Been mining Gridcoin for sometime and noticed something called SPARC. What is that? Its said to be from the ethereum network, but grcpool won't let me get it. Just curious:

Also, has anyone else had trouble changing their password from hexabot? I keep sending messages telling them how I can't change my password. Anyone who works for hexabot and sees this please get someone to help:
