When Hal was connected to Parallax, he was able to manipulate the Yellow light of fear without the aid of the Power Ring. He could create constructs and use them for combat. Hal had immense fear-casting powers, strong enough to easily scare the likes of Superman and Wonder Woman, except those who are capable of understanding and conquering inner fear such as Kyle Rayner and Batman.
