PSA means Public Speaking Anxiety, and practically most people who have to speak in front of a crowd or audience are faced with PSA.
yeah, i know soon you got to speak in front of a number of audience and you are kinda scared and worried about how to go about it, this post is especially for you.
I don't know what kind of presentation you have to present, it could be a final year project defence program, or an interview to test your competence for the new job you love to get, or even its just a question on your mind that you just have to ask your lecturer but your friends are watching, you are so scared they will make jest of you if you make any mistake, hmmmmmmmm, i will tell you this.....there is saying especially in the Africa that goes does " he who knows the cause of his problem would get solution easily" yeah i think i discovered some causes of your fear and i will try to suggest some solutions i think might be able to help you get over all the fear.
- fear of making embarassing mistake
- fear of damaging your career or reputation in front of the audience
- fear of forgetting what you had planned to talk about
- fear of looking dull and boring in front of everyone
- fear of being starred at
- fear of being asked a question that might throw you off your balance,
okay, i got it.
i believe through a systematic approach to your entire speaking, you will have a very beautiful presentation, check the following suggestions to all these issues and see which ones work best for you;
- proper planning and effective preparation will get rid of all your fears and worries, and when i say planning, i mean to tell you that you have to plan massively and constantly as the case may be. preparation deals with gathering of your resources , organizing all the tool\s and materials that you need for your presentation so that you can be less nervous during your presentation you have to set a clear purpose or else you may wander aimlessly on the presentation day i know you don't want that.
- constant practice: practice constantly and prepare on your audience, make research, consult the internet, get all your resources ready and discover the ones you dont already have before the day of your presentation. when i say prepare on your audience, discover what they like to hear so that they dont get bored of you, gather some of your friends and practice with them, use eye contacts, body language and be original in your voice, make sure you dont shout, and your voice is not too low, where a smile all through your presentation , it make you look bold and confident. with all these, you make a very beautiful presentation you really wanted.

Practice, in front of a friend, sometimes even on your won counts a lot and helps you deal with the anxiety before the audience. It also helps you build confidence in the content you are to deliver. And that translates to confidence in presentation.
Thanks for these ideas.
And thanks for being a great part of the @asapers
