Thoughts on GRC [003] – How the user experience could be improved (2)

The idea is to have a faucet that auto-pays newbies for a few days. Just tiny amounts of GRC. I would suggest the total amount to be the beacon fee – so basically we are giving newbies GRC during the first few days so they can launch a beacon for free.

Users who don't have several thousand GRC will not stake within the 6 month max payout window. These users should be directed towards pools until they have a large enough balance to solo stake.

The idea behind this is not to allow them to launch a beacon asap - but to give them a heads up that transactions are working. It's supposed to be a test transaction.

Regular faucet transactions can take a while, donations as well. Buying GRC just to see if the wallet is working is a process that can take days if someone does not own any crypto coin and needs to set up new accounts for fiat exchange and BTC/GRC exchange.

While faucets, donatations and GRC purchase can be considered "wallet test runs" they just take too much time for a simple verification process imho.

If that is the case, there might be a little message that pops up and says "Hey, your mag is really low and you have a low balance. Consider joining a pool. Click here to join a pool!" and then it takes you into that process.

Good idea - if possible to implement, I'd like to see this feature :)
