My mother recently made sure that there is a second song that will make me cry the rest of my life: Supermarket Flowers by Ed Sheeran. That was forever connected to me on June 16, 2017, the day we laid her to rest.

The first one was Goodbye My Friend by Karla Bonoff, the song they played during my father's cremation ceremony on July 16, 2008.

They were two angels in the shape of my parents. And the love they gave me through all the years will take away my tears.

Goodbye, my friends.
