The Chongqing Huguang Hall, also known as the Yu Wang Palace, is a group of halls built during the Qianlong period of the Qing Dynasty, located along the Yangtze River in the East Water Gate of Chongqing's Yuzhong District.
The day is a legendary heroic model of successful water management for the benefit of people before the Xia Dynasty. During the Qing Dynasty, the province of Huguang was roughly equivalent to present-day Hubei and Hunan provinces and was located in the middle reaches of the Yangtze River, with the vast area south of the Han River is low-lying and subject to constant flooding. As a result, immigrants in Huguang worshipped the Great Yu to pray for good winds and rain and safe boats. The Yu Wang Gong was built to pay homage to the Great Yu and has a history of over 300 years.
The main function of the Huguang Guild Hall, as a geopolitical association, was to liaise with the villagers and to strengthen their strength.
The Huguang Guild Hall complex is currently the largest in the Chinese city. It is located on the Yangtze River at Dongshuimen in Yuzhong District, Chongqing.
