Could that platform be used for bounties too?

I kind of the 3 opportunities.

Polling the opinion of users (by vote or by stakes)
Crowdfunding projects
Bounty system

Do you have an idea of how it could work for bounties?

Of course, I had bounties post as pinned post for a month... :) Couldn't get time to work on that. I imagine, bounties are part of marketplace belong to services section, goods are another section to buy and sell.

As far as strategy goes, I would LOVE to contribute or collaborate with whoever is heading that! My passion for crowdfunding has led to an obsession with how it can be used in so many different ways - I'm happy I found steemit because I think CC might be the ultimate crowdfunding solution for all -- donation, reward, and equity crowdfunding! Consulting with entrepreneurs who are looking to raise capital via equity crowdfunding and the platforms themselves has taught me that even accessing capital in a developed country like the US is far behind the level it should be. Please feel free to reach out for creative consulting on the crowdfunding piece from anybody working on this or other projects! Very interested to learn how to innovate with this and would love to work with the steemit team if possible!

PS, I'm most excited about this platform's use of the steem to drive community building. I can already tell there is a much higher sense of community on this platform than others and it's so rad. Starting as a student of donation/reward crowdfunding, it seems like the perversion of crowdfunding via equity method is destroying the sense of community and something like this can truly combat that. Let's innovate!

Transparency for kickstarter projects is brilliant. Sort of like the whole "provably fair" gambling space that is being taken over by blockchain and crypto. A "provably reliable" kickstarter would be really cool.

Thanks, using tag is great solution for now, until we have communities. After communities have started rolling, this can be moved to having its own community... Great times ahead! :)

Why not replace the Promoted Section with SteemPoll?? Keep it integrated within Steemit??

Thanks for comment! Interesting idea which I have seen been mentioned somewhere as well...Promoted section is plainly used for post and burn the funds used to promote it. SteemPoll (vision) is much more than just funding projects if you are referring to use promoting fund, it is also tool to reach consensus on any type of things...

We want to get as many miles out of this SteemPoll as we can @good-karma as it's the best growth idea I've seen on here so far ... and I've seen a lot! Congrats on being top of the pile in Trending. This would be great, I'm sure others have asked, but can it be integrated into steemit so we can have polls within these posts?

There are two ways of embedding polls on post!

Have embeddable script that uses iframe, just like Youtube, SoundCloud.
There are some technical and security challenges and requires whitelisting from different apps (steemit, busy, esteem).
Have custom structure that uses comment as poll!
You would have simple line where if you attach it on your post, steempoll will publish you poll as comment and options as subcomments. Voting on option is also being worked on using custom_json operation to avoid bots influence on outcome. But this will require slight work from apps as well.

Exactly. I am a part of the Dash DAO and it works pretty well. Dashcentral allows for a truly decentralized decision-making process. Steem would be better if it emulated what Dash is already doing.

Thanks for comment! Hope things are working out great on your project there ;) Exactly, that is one of many use cases. Steem is already doing it as well with deciding which posts get how much of the daily rewards and much more transparent about who are the voters and much more wider audience (any stakes). Although it depends on how you look at it. Use cases for Steem is not limited only with that, hope with SteemPoll, users will be able to see that.

When someone delegates their steem power, who gets the curation rewards? The delegator or the delegate?

Afaik, If you delegate part of your power to someone else, content voting rights and bandwidth allocation are transferred to the receiving account (reward goes to them)
