James 5:9 Grudge not one against another, brethren, lest ye be condemned: behold, the judge standeth before the door.
In human relationships, there'll always be frictions, disagreements, differences in opinion, among others. These are realities of life. Based on this, the Almighty God gave us a simple guide on how to handle everyone: let go and refuse to live in grudges.
To grudge means to harbour bitterness against people that wronged you in the past. That past could be yesterday, thus the duration of the time of offense is not a consideration. Let go of the bitterness, so shall your life be sweet again. There's no peace for a grudging heart, seek peace with all men.
It's too dangerous to keep grudges against anyone because he that grudges shall be condemned. Please note that the offender might be justified if he repents, but the carrier of bitterness is in condemnation before God.
Let us be watchful, that we shall not miss eternity with Christ because of people's offenses we refused to push aside.
Let's pray together.
Dear Father of mercy, thank you for forgiving us and granting us the opportunity to forgive others. Please heal our hearts today and give us victory over grudges and bitterness, in Jesus name. Amen.
