So last week I sold my GTX 770 to help take care of rent. I had planned on getting an RX 460 or 560 4GB card.
But on Letgo, I found a great deal on another GTX 770 4GB card, and less than what I can get an RX 460 or 560 4GB card for.
The GTX 770 4GB varant performs similarly to an RX 560 4GB or GTX 1050 Ti. When I find it for significantly less, it's a no-brainer, especially in the current landscape.
By the way, using apps like Letgo or Offerup right now is one of the best ways to go if you're open to having used graphics cards. I understand the cons, like having no warranty or not knowing what the card has gone through previously. But honestly, I've had no issues when buying used.
In fact, if I'm to be perfectly honest, I've had more issues with buying cards brand new. That's related to "The Bathtub Curve" as components have a tendency to fail near either the beginning or end of its lifespan. If you buy a reasonable card used, you're in the part of the curve where failure is least likely.
Maybe I'll talk more about the "The Bathtub Curve" in an upcoming post. Nonethless, I look forward to getting this graphics card in and will inform @ericwilson and @dlive24hour I will be back next week for my live streams!
