Guilty Pleasure Music Challenge - Week 1 - Filled Eyes

in guiltypleasuremusic •  7 years ago  (edited)

This post is my entry to @sjennon's Guilty Pleasure music contest.

Following is a beautiful yet extremely cheesy Bollywood song that I translated. It is originally called 'Bhare Naina'. I love this song and it has managed to make me cry bunch of times. In keeping with the theme this is how it turned out, so go ahead and get ready to submerge in this sugar pond.

Filled Eyes

Oh why is it that he wouldn’t talk to me today,
Why is it that he is in such dismay?
How do I get him to cheer up, how do I get him to talk to me,
Why is it that he wouldn’t talk to me today?
Oh why does he torment me so,
How do I get him out of this misery though.
Each night is a curse now that they refuse to pass without him,
There is no rest to my hurt soul even for a second without him.

Filled are my eyes today with tears
Oh filled they are,
They rain today with tears and nothing I can do to stop them,
Oh how they rain today with tears.

Why do the Doors to my eyes promise your arrival today
Why do I feel your footsteps on the porch of my heart,
Why or why is it that everywhere I turn I see your shadows?
I can’t get you out of this without you,
Oh how do I charm you love when you’re not here,
My heart seems to be cheating on me now.

Filled are my eyes today with tears
Oh filled they are,
They rain today with tears and nothing I can do to stop them,
Oh how they rain today with tears.

Original Artists of the song: Nandini Srikar, Vishal Dadlani and Shekhar Ravjiani
