My professor was trying to learn to play, so I created this scale sheet for him. It covers pentatonics and modes. It uses a version of the modes where you never need to stretch your hand more than four frets on a single string. I might mention that this is in "standard tuning"... I myself use an "alternate tuning", which I may cover in future posts..!
