Look, no matter where to stand on the issue, even though I'm clearly right about everything regarding these issues -- if anybody addresses gun control or self-defense and brings up "gun homicide" statistics, you should tell that person to kindly fornicate him or herself on an iron pike.
This is just a way that gun-grabbers cook the books.
Every murder is a homicide; but, not every homicide is a murder.
A homicide is a killing of one human being by another human being. A murder is an unlawful killing of a human being by another human being.
Get the difference?
So, when gun control advocates talk about the correlation between the availability of guns in a given area, and the self-defense laws, and they're correlating that with "gun homicides", they're basically doing what Enron did in regard to lying about their numbers.
A gun murder can be a grey area based on state and local laws; but, a safe example of a gun murder would be that a dude just doesn't like you, he pulls out his gun, and he shoots you and kills you because he doesn't like you.
That's a murder and a homicide.
An example of a gun homicide that isn't a murder is a young woman walking to her car at night, some douche bag assaulting her, trying to rape her, telling her that he's gonna fuck her to death, and she manages to pull a gun from her purse and kill the bastard.
-- That's a homicide with a gun; but, it's pretty fucking far from murder in 39 states --
All these people who specifically refer to "gun homicides" are doing, is trying to disarm the general public, and the people who might be able to save their own lives, and the lives of others, with a gun.
Every case of a home invasion that was vanquished by a homeowner with a gun has the potential to be a homicide with a gun.
There was a situation in my own state where a man shot another man dead -- the context was that the guy broke into the home, stripped naked, and was entering the homeowner's daughter's bedroom when the homeowner shot him to death.
That's a homicide with a gun. That's a justified homicide with a gun. It's not a fucking murder.
How many people in your life are too stupid to not know the distinction?
These people are lying.
