The Colt 1911 A1 Gold Cup is a .22lr competition pistol. It is the official competition configuration for shooting and plinking competitions. At a weight of 2.25 lbs, it's easy to handle and achieve a higher accuracy rate. Of course I like to shoot shit and blow shit up, but plinking is one of my favorite past times. First because it is affordable and second because it's challenging.

What's the deal with LA31?

I profess my love for the great state of Texas

so often you'd never know that I was born in Louisiana. Yes I was born in Louisiana and I lived on HWY LA31. I also own more land in Louisiana than I do in Texas. Some of the locals had a passion for brewing craft beers and started up their own brewery in a shipping container. BAYOU TECHE BREWING was born. I've seen them grow from that to a multi acre facility that ships to 6 continents and have out brewed master brewers in Belgium. How's that for the American dream? All done with no investors. I didn't shoot it because I hate it, I shot it because I Love It.

Very much indeed. I am part of a group in Houston called the Montrose Beer & Gun Club. We just meet at a bar and drink while talking about guns (sometimes). Those Old Wild West movies are a clear example of the toxic cocktail of booze and firearms
