MOUNTAIN Sinabung is one of 127 volcanoes in Indonesia. Mount Sinabung is located in the Karo highlands of North Sumatra with its peak reaching 2,451 meters above sea level.
After about 400 years of silence in a long sleep, finally on August 27, 2010, Mount Sinabung woke up and erupted.
In September 2013, Mount Sinabung erupted again 4 times. The eruption of Mount Sinabung this time issued a hot cloud and volcanic ash. The volcanic ash rain reaches the Sibolangit and Berastagi regions, which is a tourist area in Karo District. Entering the year 2014, the eruption occurred again. The eruption started with a series of volcanic earthquakes recorded on volcano observation stations since January 4, 2014.
