You may remember my idea to turn an old phone into a portable pentesting tool ran into a snag in the form of the phone being too old. A tablet had the same limitation. The phone will be recycled and the tablet will be donated to a thrift store.
I now have an Android 7 tablet that I bought from NewEgg. My hope is that it can run the apps. If not, I may look at either trying to upgrade the tablet to Android 8 or even 9, or move some apps from my phone onto the tablet to free up space.
I also hope to add a few other apps to this tablet that may be useful to #theresistance; Orbot, the Android TOR proxy, the Riseup Black VPN through Bitmask, the mobile client for Minds, and KeePass. I may look at migrating some of my e-mail, especially for SteemIt, Minds and one of my Twitter accounts to ProtonMail or some other secure e-mail site.
If I have enough room, I may look at adding GIMP or some other open-source image editor, or Audacity or some other audio editor.
I may also be able to use this tablet as a way to see how what I develop in Kotlin looks on older devices.
