Why we build Hackintoshes ?

So why do we build Custom Mac's?
It is as easy as the following:

Unfortunately Apple do not offer a Mac most people need or want, that's why we build Hackintoshes …

Either there is a high priced low power maschine or a overpowered maschine, which cost as much as a car.

What about the middle ?

Musicians do not need XEON CPU’s, why is there not a simple upgradable I7 desktop with a realistic prices?
