“They’re not (avoiding) dating anymore because of money; they’re just doing some clever and some inventive things,” says Whitney Casey, author of “The Man Plan” and a contributor to online dating site Match.com.
Nowadays, having a memorable valentine's date is about spending a lot of money and have a luxurious, expensive and lavish dates and gifts. But, does it really shows and count that someone is truly in love with you? Maybe, yes or not. Some of them are just a rich, wise playboy who knows how to act like a gentlemen (but they're not) and others are just naturally gentlemen who makes effort to show that they truly love you.
As stated by Jeff Yeager, an author based in Maryland and wrote the book "The Cheapskate Next Door" that, "there’s no evidence of a correlation between how much money you spend on a date and the kind of memory that’s created".
Well, it's time to make a change and be practical in life. Being frugal and not spending a lot doesn't mean he/she is tired and doesn't love you anymore.
So, here are some hacks or tips on how to save money on a date and making it more unique and memorable:
- Look for an inexpensive restaurants that are trendy and hip can be just as satisfying and fun. If your partner is kinda sensitive and emotional and you are planning to make some small surprises and want to take a notch, it is better if that place is not crowded and basically have a pleasant and dim lightning. If your partner is a heavy eater and not on diet, make sure that place is serving a pizza and hamburger (more calories, more fun) plus a cola.

- Try a coupon and discounts. It doesn't make you less, human. It makes you more mature and practical.

- Take a walk. It's time for both of you to have a moment and talk things out and maybe have a conversation while walking. Trust me, you won't get tired if you just talk and talk to that person but ask him/her first if he/she wants to take a walk for him/her not to pissed off. (not all people loves to walk though, practically speaking, it is really tiring and kinda noisy but maybe during that time its just between you and him/her, so you have your own world)

- Use your cooking skills- cook for him/her. It is more practical and you can save more money if you just cook the meals by yourself plus you can a movie marathon and make surprises without any intervention of other people. It's just between the two of you. Or maybe you can make some pastries and deliver it in his/her house with a letter and a flowers (much better if you give him/her a pot- it makes more sense and kinda unique).

- Think outside the box. Making surprises that is unique is much more memorable than a common surprises. People are creative, you just need to know what are the things that he/she likes and then you can make your own ways how to fulfill his/her happiness. Having a picnic dinner, a date with bonfire, a carpool date or anything that suits each other taste.

What makes more memorable of having such date is not about celebrating and making surprises in a day. It's about making it a habit and do it everyday because even small thing counts and showing your true feelings in action is whats matter the most.
I will definitely spend my day tomorrow with my squaaaaaad!! yay!
