HADRON.cloud, a marketplace for Artificial Intelligence (AI) pre-ICO

I was looking through the coin announcements section in the bitcointalk.org forum one day and I saw HADRON.cloud https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2142232.0

There's so many new coins, I usually have a quick glance and move on but this one stood out instantly. The idea is to use idle resources, like PC's and mobile phones with processing power ready to work, to do tasks for Hadron customers. The process is called mining and the miners get compensated with Hadron coins. Anyone that needs AI computation can pay to access the Hadron cloud that consists of all the miners with their spare processing power. What appeals to me is that the mining doesn't use up a lot of electricity. It's not as intensive as conventional cryptocurrency mining. Here in the UK, electricity is expensive and I don't have a mining rig. I've been doing alpha testing since January and my Wise System Monitor barely registers any CPU or GPU usage. The fact that you can do this with a mobile phone also shows that it's nowhere near as resource hungry as conventional cryptocurrency mining. I have uncapped broadband connection, so haven't monitored that.

I decided to only use my PC for alpha testing but I'll try my mobile when it's launched and I'm away from home. I've seen other people reporting that mobile phone mining works well but I'll have to check how much data it uses.

The alpha mining has been very good, with few outages. I've been mining in three windows recently and it seems to make very little difference to my PC, I can carry on working as normal.

It will be interesting to see how the pre-sale and ICO goes. I'm saving reading through the whitepaper until it's announced. I'll do another post when I've read through it. I did have a quick look at the team and it looks amazing. They're active on twitter and telegram, probably facebook as well but I don't use that much.

I can see HADRON.cloud being popular after launch. It will be interesting to see what buyers do with the AI power.
