This is the fourth comment to one of @verbal-d's Life & Death Haikus that I wanted to expand upon. I am not currently able to invest in steem as I would like, so it is the slow road for me, but as soon as I have anything to offer the open mic trail I will follow it. Edit: luz set me straight and I'm following it. Music was the first search I did on this platform, and #openmic entries were my favorite results. The first thing I do after the bandwidth restrictor finally allows me to post is to upvote as many original entries as I can view. I think now before anyone gets my vote I will check to see if they upvoted the contest post, and comment accordingly, knowing the threat of withholding my plankton power from your post is bound make a ripple ;) Edit: now I suppose I'm voting for everybody, even rule ignoring slackers. How do you expect a prize if you don't support the contest in the simplest way possible? Especially since it is a contest rule! Upvote the damned contest post! @luzcypher gets more thanks than harassment, but the thanks could come in the form of upvotes. The harassment is uncalled for.

Just to be clear, there is a difference between delegating Steem Power to @openmic and following the Open Mic Trail.
Delegating Steem Power to the @openmic account would require someone to have some Steem Power to delegate. You can learn how to do this by reading the first half of this post:(2nd half is obsolete) Announcing The Openmic Account And A Call For Help --- by @ausbitbank
Following the Open Mic Trail can be done without delegating Steem Power and would earn whoever follows the trail rewards. You Can read more about that on How To Support Musicians On Steemit And Earn Curation Rewards By Following The Open Mic Trail --- by @luzcypher
For a minnow wanting to support Open Mic I would recommend following the trail because you don't need much Steem Power at all to do that and in fact, would earn some. Just [follow the instructions] and set the voting power to about 5% until your earnings go up.
