Game spotlight: Hammerwatch

Game spotlight:

Game spotlight is a series of short blogs I will post regularly on my page, the idea is to cover all types of small and indie games across all platforms that I think are great fun to play and are not to expensive. I personally love playing games made by small studios and independent creators because they tend to be more unique, so you are often in for a lot of surprises.

Hammerwatch:

Hammerwatch is an action-adventure hack and slash game that can be played with up to four players, while playing through the various levels you will have to defeat all kinds of enemy's and solve puzzles along the way. As you go trough the levels and collect more gold you are able to buy new upgrades for your character and weapons.

As the game has been out for a while you can buy it from $1.99 of the Hammerwatch website, so it very cheap and definitely worth buying while it is so cheap.

In Hammerwatch you can choose between six different characters;

Paladin

Wizard

Ranger

Warlock

Thief

Priest

Each of the classes offers a unique set of abilities, attacks and weaknesses, this makes the game great to play with some friends as you can all have a different job in each level and find the right combination of characters to play with together. You can also play on most platforms including PS4 online or with multiple characters offline.

I think Hammerwatch is a game that should be played with other people to have the most fun with it, because you really need a full group of four to get the most out of the game, I also think you need a full team just because it can be so difficult to play with just one or two people with the amount of enemies.

I also enjoyed Hammerwatch with friends.

The creators of the game tried to make a good variety of enemies and a good variety of classes to choose from, however for some reason it still seems to get somewhat repetitive after a couple levels. I can't quite put my finger on it.
