On the Bench Today - Journal Charms

in handcrafted •  7 years ago

More production and back stock filling/refilling. Today is Bronze Charms.

I don't cast the charms, but I like to offer them in the journal shop as an inexpensive way for people to personalize their journal, zippers, etc...

So I add the bronze lobster claw...

Even without casting, the assembly takes hours, not to mention photos and listing them. But it is well worth it. My customers love them, and they just paid for the new rug hooking frame, and enough white wool yarn to dye for the needle punch I have been waiting to do :)

It's often like a round-about trade to get the new materials I would like to work with :)

Not much different than barter but better ;-)

Yep, about the same, just using those tokens as a transfer mechanism ;)

Wise woman ;-)

Very impressive work @elew . I know some friends who may be interested i will send them your shop URL. You could make some really beautiful ceiling fan cord handles. (not sure what they are called, turn the fan and lights on and off when you pull it, lol)

Interesting thought! Unfortunately that would require yet another shop which I don't have time for...so I need to stay in the leatherwork, beading, wampum, metalwork and journals...not enough hands, haha...
