My profession has done me so much diligence in finding ways to maximize our resources. I am a family man and though I have a job as I am connected in the Municipal Agriculture Office, yet I need to find ways to augment my income for the future of my children. Aside from being a freelance writer, I also raised livestock which I know would help me meet the needs of my children.
Let me share with some of my sidelines, as how we love to call it. I raised chicken (broiler) which is targeted to be harvested within a month. I have also four heads of piglets which hopefully be harvested in four months time. Why am I doing this, because I always believe that if a person will only maximize his resources, he will never hunger.
My perseverance and hardwork were borne out of my experiences in the college. I graduated in Bachelor in Agricultural Technology from the Misamis Oriental State College in Agricultural Technology at Claveria, Misamis Oriental. I was then a working student because my parents were old enough to work. I am the youngest and though some of my siblings have their own works yet they have their own families too to raise. Thanks that I underwent such very difficult times because it pushed me to become a hardworking person looking forward that my children will not pass through the hardships that I have had.
As such, I am maximizing my resources and capacities together with my wife. Both of us have our respective extended families to take care of also. It is somewhat tiring but we both considered it a blessing since we can still take care of them. Here are the proof of my livelihood projects.
This is my mini-poultry at the back of our house and I am raising by 60 heads of chicks.
These are my piglets and my ten-year old son is the one in-charged in feeding it while it is yet summer.
