Asterina Starfish eating live coral and Harlequins

in harlequin •  7 years ago  (edited)

So I had purchased a whole bunch of wild live rock and it ended plaguing my tank for a long while with Asterina Starfish.
And even though it is said that there is no evidence that they harm Acropora and other corals, I actually caught them destroying my baby bottle brush acro until it was no more.
That really made me angry!
Even though it was my fault, but after searching really hard I found that the Harlequin shrimp was supposed to be the champion at getting rid of the Asterina Starfish.
I own a red sea reefer nano and I only bought one Harlequin shrimp. But in after one month I have not seen one more of those bastards.
So if you have these starfish I really recommend this shrimp.
