Surviving Hurricane Harvey (A Phone Post)

So Harvey is here, I don't have internet except on my phone, and the picture above was taken from in front of my house. Fortunately the house where I grew up has super good drainage in it's neighborhood, so I've been fairing pretty well. I am worried, however, about the house in which I currently live, the street to which is prone to flooding.

We'll see.

Lately we've been only able to get to the local gas station for shopping. The local grocery stores are all inaccessible because of flooding. I wish I'd taken a picture of the ocean between us and the store when we made the attempt (and the line cool car in case of looking - luckily there hasn't been much of that according to the news).

For all fellow Steemians who happen to have bet access in one way or the other, let me know about your experience.

what shopping?
you had a week's warning that it was coming.
you don't have a month's supply of food and water in the house?
why?

Lol... Because not everyone is a Doomsday prepper.

you don't get it.
You were informed that DOOMSDAY would happen in a few days.
It did.

I have a week's worth of food in my apartment as a matter of course.
it's just sensible.
Hell..when I was a trucker and practically lived in my truck i had a week of food and water...you never knew.

Great works, I wish you success

Stay safe and dry.

Yes it's horrible. I don't dare to imagine how people feel. Courage to them. I posted an image about it yesterday.
