Being Hated in the name of Christ

I would consider it an honor to be hated in the name of Christ. That is a badge I'll wear with pride. Why? It means I know what is right and I am not afraid to follow that path.

Luke 3: 22 says that Blessed are ye who are hated in the name of the son of man (I am paraphrasing) and the following verse states that heaven will the be the reward for those who are hated in the name of Christ. That is fine with me. When you look at our lovely culture here in America, we are being told that we should be good "citizens of Israel". I am not from Israel nor have I ever lived there. I have no ties whatsoever to Israel as a country.

Remember it was in Genisis when Israel is first mentioned. It was when God renamed Jacob, a man so pious that God renamed him Israel. As it the Bible says in Luke 3:22, we are being called evil if we don't A) put Israel first and B) follow what we know to be untrue and unholy in the eyes of our Heavenly Father and his Holy Son Jesus Christ. (I am not going to debate how to pronounce his name.) I don't really consider myself to be Christian so much as a student of Christ.
