Santa Brings a Big Storm to Hawaii for Christmas

We woke up to howling wind and pouring rain on Christmas morning in Honolulu Hawaii. The rain was coming down in buckets. Huge rain drops made a drumming sound off the car roofs.

After we did opened our presents and did some work around the house (and made the pendant in another article) we decided to go see a movie. When we went on the roads there were not many cars and the water was rushing down the sides of the streets.

We were thinking of not going to the movies because we were worried about power outages but we decided to go for it. When we got to the theater it was crowded we had to park on the 7th floor of the parking lot and the elevator was broken. Going down the stairs was not a big deal but it was not fun going back up the stairs.

One of the air conditioners in a theater that was showing The Rise of Skywalker was broken and we were lucky our was working. When the movie was over and we were driving home the wind stopped completely. It was eerie how still it was. We drove by the ocean and the storm surge was wild. We were so glad we didn't go fishing today.

We just went home and made dinner and watched a movie on Netflix and had to go to bed because we had to work the next day. This is one junk thing about a holiday being in the middle of the week.
