The house: The economic setup

A few years ago,

By the request of my (then) mother in law wanting to be closer to her grandchild, we moved to a house that ended up costing us 700$ per month to heat in the winter.

This was an economic setback that we really didin't need, and come spring made the request to break our lease early.

We then found another house for rent, then pregnant with our second child it was our dream home. However, one month after moving in our landlords went bankrupt and lost ownership of the house to the bank.

With anger over broken dreams, we reflected on our power facing the situation head on.
Originally we were hoping to have worked out a lease to own the property, but this could no longer be the case.

It was frustrating seeing how the owners had fallen into tough times without much compassion from the bank too...

Weighinh our options, we decided to explore what really happens during this whole situation and how it all works.
