I apologize for remaining in "observation" mode instead of joining you all on your #FlagTheDonkey campaign.
At this point the ongoing battle has demonstrated a few key points we needed to see:
1.Steemit is an anarchy system and no one can make corrections aside collective users. This allows the freedom of information to flow, unless downvoted beyond visibility.
2.The system due to the ability to BUY tokens with cash creates the potential fo mass abuse from those with lots of money to waste IRL transforming the idea of anarchy into the same system we expirience corruption with irl.
By not being in the visibility of those with the financial power to downvote ones posts into oblivion, we then appear have a system of freedom to do our own thing with and resolve the irl corruption with.
"Resolve the irl (real life) corruption with"
What ever possibly could I mean?
Every platform is the child of some ones ideas brought to life. This means that through unity we can also create our own systems utilizing the data we have already collected expirienced from each "trial run" of our pay to post websites.
While many want to fight to have steemit be the dream system we all envision, the truth is ownership sees little wrong with the abuse done by @Haijin or @RanchoRelaxo because it was designed fo allow this.
The monetary value of steam depended on its users willing to buy steam to begin with until users came to use and sustain it.
(What worth does the stock market bring to our world other then observing financial patterns, gossiping on the value of things and legalised gambling?)
We have to admit a truth we may not want to:
Steamit is a great platform to connect without the social media censorship we have been expiriencing on other platforms but its monetary exchange system is broken since it leeches from the same corrupt world we see abuse of power from in real life.
(His account is worth over 3 MIL.... come on now these are not your average user...)
If we want our dream system of accountability we will need to build it together.
This has been one of a few trials to reconnect to the kind hearted souls we know want to sustain a system and not abuse it for their own personal gain.
