1- Take time off
It seems impossible to think purely when you are overwhelmed with fear or anxiety. Accelerating heart rate, sweating palms, panic and confusion are all due to adrenaline. So, the first thing you have to do is take the time so that you can calm down physically.
Stop worrying for 15 minutes by walking around the building, preparing a cup of tea or bathing. When you calm down physically, you'll feel better able to decide how best to handle the situation.
2 - What is the worst thing that can happen?
When you are concerned about something, be it work, relationship, or exam, thinking can help what can be the worst end result. Even if a presentation, call, or conversation has happened horribly, the odds are that you and the world will stay. Sometimes the worst thing that can happen is a panic attack.
If you start to feel rapid heartbeat or sweating in the palms of your hands, the best thing is not to face it. Stay where you are and simply feel scared without trying to distract yourself. Resting your hand on your stomach and breathing slowly and deeply (no more than 12 times per minute) helps to soothe the body.
It may take an hour, but eventually panic will go away on its own. The goal is to help the mind to get used to dealing with panic, which removes the fear of fear.
3 - Introduce yourself to fear
Avoiding fears only makes them more intimidating. If you feel afraid one day of entering the elevator, it is best to return to the elevator the next day. Stand in the elevator and feel scared until it disappears. Whatever your fear, if you encounter it, it must begin to fade.
4 - Welcomed the worst
Each time the fears are raised, it will be easier to deal with them the next time they occur, so that they are not ultimately a problem in themselves. Try to imagine the worst thing that could happen - maybe something scary and heart attack. Then try to think that you have had a heart attack. It is not only possible. Fear will disappear whenever you track it.
5 -Be realistic
Fears tend to be much worse than reality. Often, people who have been assaulted do not think they will be exposed again every time they walk in a dark alley. But the possibility of a second attack is actually very low.
Similarly, people sometimes say to themselves that they are failing because they turn red when they feel ashamed. This makes them feel more disturbed. But the redness of the tension positions is normal. Remember that, the anxiety is gone.
6 - Do not expect perfection
Black and white thinking like, "If I'm not the best or the world I'm a failure," or "DVDs do not all meet in the same direction, so my life is a mess," unrealistic and only presents us with anxiety.
Life is full of stress, yet so many of us feel that his life must be perfect. Bad days and setbacks will always happen, and it is necessary to remember that life is a mess.
7 - Imagine
Close your eyes for a minute and imagine a quiet, quiet place: a picture of you as you walk on a beautiful beach, or you may be hugging in bed with a cat beside you or a happy childhood memory. Let the positive emotions calm you down until you feel more relaxed.
8 - Talk about it
Sharing fears removes a great deal of alarm. Try talking to a partner, friend or family member. If your fears do not go away, ask your doctor for help. Doctors can refer people to counseling, or psychotherapy.
9 -Return to basics
A good sleep, a healthy meal, and a picnic are often the best treatment for anxiety. The easiest way to sleep when the fears are rising in your mind is to stop trying to fall asleep. Instead, try to stay awake.
Many people resort to alcohol or drugs to self-treat anxiety, which they consider will make them feel better, but this will only make the nervous tension worse. On the other hand, eating well will make you feel great physically and mentally.
10 - Reward yourself
Finally, give yourself a reward. When you pick up that spider or make that call that you're afraid of, motivate your success by rewarding yourself with a candlelight bath, massage, picnic walk, concert, meal out home, book, DVD or any small gift that will make you happy
