Hey guys! As I'm sure enough of you know by now, I'm heading to Gatlinburg, TN for an important Writers' Block meetup. My girlfriend Chelsea (@ladymaharet) is coming down for it as well. So, naturally, I decided I needed to be in the best shape I could to impress the most amazing woman in the world.
I started 15 days ago. My goal was to drop back down to 175 before June 20th, when I will get on the road and pick up Chelsea from Atlanta International Airport. My plan was simple: simple calisthenics and an aggressive diet plan. I've always been of the mind that the best way to lose weight without intense physical exercise is cutting calories down. Your body only gets rid of extra weight one of two ways: working it off, or burning through it because you're not putting as many in as before. Thanks to my glorious time in the Army and all the time I'm spending with Kate, a rigorous physical exercise routine is more or less out of the question.
So I went the latter route. For my age and height, according to Samsung Health, I was supposed to be intaking 2,349 calories to maintain my weight. I thought that was silly, as I don't do nearly enough physical exercise to justify more than 2,000 calories worth of intake, so I decided to drop it to 1,000 calories. I adjusted my diet to consist of either a protein-heavy serving of yogurt, or a protein shake, for breakfast with a cheese stick to give me something to chew on, a chicken breast and with cauliflower for lunch, and then the same for dinner. For dinner, if I was feeling particularly hungry, I decided I'd add a second chicken breast to that.
I've been rocking it thus far. The last 15 days I've been holding steady to a 1,000 calorie or less intake. Combined with pushups, curls, squats, and bicycle curls intermittently throughout the day, I'm rocking it. I feel better. I feel lighter, and my body is pulling tighter with the exercise. Once the 20th rolls around, I'm going to be looking and feeling great!
Oh no! Less of you to man hug.
Seriously though, congrats.

It's been pretty tough. It's amazing how much of a constant companion hunger becomes when you cut down on your intake.

great work @anarcho-andrei ... take a look at the benefits of chia seeds.. they will increase your fiber, protein, omegas and feelings of fullness without impacting your calorie count.
