Spirulina Salad Recipe

Here is a new twist on the amazing Spirulina Super Salad Recipe from Page 124 of Nourishment for the Spiritual Warrior by Dr Wampole and David Burke. Try this one out the next time you are in need of something that is both filling and delicious! Dr Alyssa and David created this recipe for those who want a vegan raw sugar free salad and want to feel full after eating! Below is a picture of the one I created at home that took only 5 minutes to make. Fast, cost effective and nourishing!

Ingredients:

1 Large Head of Organic Romaine Lettuce, Chopped
2 Tablespoons Organic Spirulina Powder
2 Large Ripe Organic Avocados
2 Organic Lemons
1/4 Cup Organic Hemp Seed Oil
Himalayan or Celtic Sea Salt
Organic Black Pepper
Organic Cumin
Organic Hemp Seeds or Organic Chia Seeds
Small Glass Bowl (for Lemon Juice)
Large Glass Bowl (to store Salad)

Directions:

Wash Romaine Lettuce, Avocados and Lemons and Dry Completely
Chop Romaine Lettuce
Dice Avocados
Squeeze Juice from 2 Organic Lemons into a Small Glass Bowl
In a Large Glass Bowl, Combine Romaine Lettuce, Diced Avocados, Lemon Juice, Hemp Seed Oil and Spirulina and Mix Completely (use your hands if it is easier)
Add Himalayan or Celtic Sea Salt, Organic Black Pepper, and Organic Cumin to Taste
Sprinkle Organic Hemp Seeds or Organic Chia Seeds on Top. (you can also put your chia seeds in a coffee bean grinder and add to the salad to make the salad more filling)
Mix Completely
Enjoy!
