For years we've heard that if you're of African descent you are predisposed to a litany of disorders such as diabetes, obesity and heart disease. These are always attributed to genetics, and as we all know you can't do anything about genetics.

As it turns out these metabolic disorders can be attributed much more to societal norms that manifest as biology. In this day and age with what we know about the genetics of our species we should also know that categorizing biological differences based upon the outdated terminology of race is teetering on the edge of pseudoscience.
