Well, kind of. There are many people doing this who follow the Snake Diet. I definitely read about the experiences of a lot of people before trying it myself. I had never considered going without water before and would have thought it would be detrimental to your health. There are a lot of people doing it. Maybe there aren't people intimately sharing their journey like this, though. :)
