A Big Blow To Our Family

My brother God-willing will be get a heart heart procedure that is called an Angiogram on the 20th of this month and my mother will be there to assist him together with my sister-in-law scrubbing any additional funds that they can get just to add some patches about the expenses that will reach about $12,000.

It is a very expensive but maybe less invasive type of procedure that is aimed to see what and where are the blockages in my bother's heart so that it can be unblocked otherwise if left untreated will cause my brother to get a heart attack for sure.

My bother's medicine didn't help him to improve his heart condition considering that he used tons of medicines and surpassing my expenses about my own health condition. I really doubted that those medicines would help unblock the blockages in his heart and now he has to make another trip to the hospital just to correct the cause of his heart ailment.

My Aunt's Colon Cancer

Another blow to our family is that my Aunt had her operation too for colon cancer and it is a type of stage 4 which is by definition a hopeless type of cancer that had spread maybe to her bones and other organs and lymph nodes and I hope that I am wrong and that she can live for years more.

My Aunt was complaining about her tummy ache months before she complained about constipation until her belly just grew until they went to the doctor to see what's wrong. Then they learned about my Aunt's true condition and decided to operate on her to maybe take away the diseased tissue and relieve her somewhat.

This What The Doctor Had Seen

God-willing my mother will visit her on the 25th of this month so that they could check each other and see each other after a long time since two years ago when they came to visit my mother for her birthday. My mother is the eldest and my Uncle recently had passed and now my Aunt would possibly graduate too so my mother is upset about it.

Too bad that I cannot go and visit my Aunt because of my disability and pains so it frustrates me a lot. But I will just send love through my mother and I know that they would understand my predicament. May God help us all.

Medical costs are too much everywhere. I hope your brother's procedure goes well. The 20th is coming fast.

And then your aunt with colon cancer. Many in my family get colon cancer (too many to count). For many years, every three years, I underwent a colonoscopy to check for polyps and catch them before they turn cancerous. I am now going every 5 years. Most people can go every 7 years. I do not mind the procedure because I know it will help prevent me from getting it. My father died 67 years old from it, and I will turn 67 this Fall. But after watching him go through it I decided I would do the colonoscopy frequently.

I had learned that after 50 years old people should get colonoscopy just to make sure that polyps should get checked and avoided @r2cornell so i is better for you to get a colonoscopy every so often.

I am sorry for your father, he died really young at 67 years old.

My brother's procedure is not that invasive but very expensive but my Aunt's condition being a stage 4 cancer is really sad for me.

Cancer is a very hard disease, but it can be cured,
Having faith can achieve a lot, God wants the best for all of us.
