Passion Fruit has begun to enter our lives in recent years with sweet / piquant taste. What is this "passion fruit", is it useful, are we eating? In this article we will try to find answers to these questions briefly.

The homeland of Passion Fruit is sub-tropical regions of South America. This fruit, which is about five hundred species, is grown exclusively in the two purple and yellow-colored main species. This fruit is round-oval shaped and its diameter varies between 4 and 8 centimeters. The weight of one fruit is about 40-50 grams. Yellow passion fruit can be bigger than morals. However, it can be said that the purple-colored fruits are more intense and delicious than the hermit. There is a watery part in the fruit which is light orange, particulate and contains seeds.

First of all let me start by saying that Passion Fruit is a very healthy fruit in terms of antioxidants, vitamins, minerals and dietary fiber, and I will list the benefits of this different fruit for you:

Fruit is also a good source of vitamin A. This makes Passion Fruit important in terms of vision. A vitamini mucous membrane is also quite healthy for the skin.
Fresh Passion Fruit is a rich potassium source; 100 grams of fruit are full of 384 milligrams of potassium. Potassium is an important mineral in heart rhythm and blood pressure regulation. Iron, copper, phosphorus and magnesium minerals are also present in various proportions.

How to Eat Passion Fruit

Cut the fruit you've washed thoroughly into two in the longitudinal direction. Remove the core liquid with a spoon. Then remove the thick crust of the fruit. You can consume fruit in this state. Passion Fruit has sweet and light sweet taste. Passion Fruit will add a different flavor to your fruit cakes. This fruit, which can be used in various dessert recipes, is also used as pizza material.
