Good Sunday to everyone. This will be a quick post on cayenne, point form and to the point.
Cayenne is known as a therapeutic and medicinal spice that is high in vitamin C & beta carotene. Researchers have shown that the active compound 'capsaicin' is responsible for most to all of the benefits of cayenne pepper. However, I still recommend using the entire pepper whether as a spice or supplement. If nature wanted us to consume only capsaicin it would have created a capsaicin plant or spice and not integrated it's benefits into the cayenne pepper. Again this is science trying dissect nature, when nature is already complete and whole. Stop wasting time and billions of tax payer's dollars (just my humble opinion).

Nice, good info. So, can you give us any recipes or ways to incorporate the peppers into our food or drink? I imagine it would be too hot to to just chomp on a whole cayenne pepper. At least for us gringos anyway!

Thanks for the comments. Sure. You can either take supplements, buy hot sauce to put on foods, use the ground spice to cook with or the chili flakes. Those are some ways.
You can also put the flakes in your olive oil or the raw peppers with the seeds and let it sit in your olive oil, which can give you a spicy oil.
Those are a few quick tips.
thanks again Cheers
