Dr. John Pezzuto and his team from Western New England University have published research that showed "astonishing" effects of grape consumption and "amazing" effects on health and lifespans.
The journal Foods published one paper. It demonstrated that adding grapes in an amount equivalent to just under two cups of grapes per day to a high-fat diet, as is commonly taken in Western countries, resulted in fatty liver reductions and longer lifespans. According to Pezzuto, these investigations bring a whole new depth to the old adage "you are what you eat." He has written over 600 scientific papers and claims that his study with grapes revealed actual alterations in genetic expression. "That is simply amazing."
