The Forever Quest to Cure A Migraine

in health •  8 years ago

Hi..i do have migraines too but might not be as bad compared to some. There are things I have been avoiding to prevent it happening, but when it does, i sometimes just take a couple of paracetamol and sleep on it. What helps is darkness and quiet. I can be in my room the whole day so long as I have this 2. I try to eat crackers or bread so long as Im not nauseated...and some water.
Have you have a read of what can bring them on? Flashing lights is a no no for me, strong perfumes, lack of sleep..others i think avoid cheese, chocolates but theyre ok for me.
Well, hope these helps.

Imma

Thanks! I am keeping a diary to try and get a better idea of my symptoms. I have other health issues, and I'm sure the migraines are impacted by that to some degree...

I was diagnosed by a neurologist three years ago, but the medication she prescribed had horrible side effects and didn't really work... lol.

bright lights, noise, fatigue, smells... I haven't figured out which foods though yet.

I constantly use earplugs and eyeshade wherever i go..esp when travelling.
