The mammary gland is one special feature of every person, more prominent in females than male. It serves as a food store for a child after delivery through the nipple. Aside from giving females that sultry, feminine look, it is a great sight of attraction for most men. They not only like to look, but to also touch and suckle. It has a Stimulating effect as it sends pleasure waves both to the man and the woman. It's no news that it has become a first point of contact during foreplay for many.

The female mammary gland comes in different sizes and shape. As succulent as they seem, it could be filled with substances that cause so much pain and if left unattended could result in death.

Usually ladies wear bra for obvious reasons, to lift the breast, thus making it firm, enhance the features and partly because they are beautiful underwear. Over the years, the fashion industry have done a lot to improve on the designs, colour and shapes of bra. Today we see strapless bras and breast lifts just for the nipples. Thanks to them but truly speaking, bra could cause a whole lot of discomfort especially when you have wore it for a long time or when it is under wired or the wrong size. The problem is worse if a lady has bigger boobs. It therefore means that she must always wear bra because it could be embarrassing you know.

It might interest you to know that some ladies don't even know their cup sizes. My boobs are medium sized but sometimes i just wish they were a bit smaller so i could do without bra completely. So, every chance I get to take off my bra, Its always a wow! experience for me. A whole lot of times, it is the first clothing I take off when I'm back home.

Back to no bra day, it is a day that has been set aside once every year, to create awareness about breast cancer and its perils. Breast cancer is a life threatening illness which could result in death if not detected early. The origin is not so clear though but usually the 13th of October every year has been set aside for this purpose. This idea has been embraced by a whole lot of women even though they don't go for breast examination, just for the freedom that comes without the bondage of bra. Many women have chosen to participate in “No Bra Day” in years past, sharing stories and pictures of themselves on several social media platforms like Instagram, Facebook, WhatsApp and Twitter using the hashtag #NoBraDay.

Recently, I read the story of a girl who felt a lump in one of her breasts when she was a teenager. It happened that every day she prayed, hoping the lump would just disappear. She lived in fear for a few years every time she felt the lump. Eventually she had to see a doctor. A scan was done and it was confirmed that she had breast cancer. An incision was made on the affected breast and the lump removed. Thank God she's alive to share her story. So many persons didn't. They stayed in fear for years, tormented and eventually died. Some people died not because it was so bad but because it wasn't detected and arrested early enough.

You don't have to be sick to have your body examined. From time to time, you can go to the hospital to check how your organs are faring at the other side. Everyone can be involved in this campaign. We have daughters, sisters, wives, mothers, girlfriend, colleagues and neighbours who could die from breast cancer. Let's show them that we truly care by getting them informed and enlightened. Remember that early detection saves life.
