Is the Australian Labor Party more +socialy+ orientated

I believe that the labor part has a significantly better social policy than the liberal (orwellian) party, I believe this means they will spend more money on supporting hospitals, health and infrastructure and focus more on those that need help other than the belief that is you can not buy it you don not deserve it off the libs
