How NOT TO DETOX heavy metals: Keeping yourself safe when chelating for health. And it's not what you googled! #HEALTHYASFORK

(Don't do it)

When we become toxic due to heavy metals, the symptoms can range from mild to devastating, and something wild in between. We don't often attribute our ills with heavy metals, yet most of us have them. We are surrounded by toxins, and it's getting increasingly more difficult to dodge them. Through my life I have always had a sense that someone is watching over me, I seem to have dodged a lot of bullets. There are times the universe will provide the answer to the question we may not have even known we were asking for. I felt that way when I joined Steemit.
At the time I wasn't sure what a blockchain, or even knew what cryptocurrency was. But quickly after joining, I knew this place, and the humans in it, would play a huge role in creating a fuller life. Steering me away from doo doo, and instead, bringing joy, knowledge & friendships.

And that's exactly how it happened. Because of the quality content here, and the shit givers, I have learned more about health in 1 year than in my entire life of seeing mainstream medicinal practitioners. It is here I read articles from healers & realized why I was sick. It is because of this, you I am healing. Now, I can not remain silent knowing what I know.

Weird words & terms i'll be using in this blog.

Chelation, chelator, chelating

Chelation therapy is the use of chelating agents to detoxify a patient's body of poisonous metal agents, such as mercury, arsenic, and lead, by converting them to a chemically inert form that can be excreted without further interaction with the body - wiki

Half Life.

The biological half-life or terminal half-life of a substance is the time it takes for a substance (for example a metabolite, drug, signalling molecule, radioactive nuclide, or other substance) to lose half of its pharmacologic, physiologic, or radiologic activity. - wiki

This is not intended to be medical advice, but merely what I have learnt through experience & the hundreds of people who have hurt themselves with these practices. Always do what you feel is right for you, based on your own personal needs & body's ability to cope. We are all different. Based on the findings of professor Andy Cutler, and numerous human experiences. I hate telling people what to do, yes even though the title of this blog sounds like I'm telling you what to do I only ever hope for good health for people. My mind is always open to new information. So..

What not to do when you are detoxing heavy metals.

I realize I am going against every piece of advice you find on google. Some of these may be okay for healthy people. Not so great for the already ill. Some people are really great at detoxing, and others aren't. The "other's aren't", may have trouble with these. You will notice a theme with the "what not to do's" . So here we go..

Number One, NO Cilantro

This means the leaf part of the cilantro/coriander plant. Seeds are okay. I am a coriander lover, so when i read that coriander was a great chelator, I was amped up to start having pesto for breakfast. haha! Cilantro is actually a natural chelator, which is why I think people use it for that. There are a few things that could be misunderstood with that, and that is we don't know the half life of coriander. It is typically not used as a low dose and frequent chelator, and the method in which cilantro chelates mercury is unknown. What is known, is that cilantro crosses the blood/brain barrier. This is bad news if you know you have mercury toxicity or poisoning, because of the unknown half life, different potency of cilantro means it will pick up mercury, move it into your brain, and drop it there as it expires in the body, resulting in exasperated or new symptoms.

Number two, No Chlorella.

Starting to feel like I'm ruining all the fun? :D Life is way more fun without chlorella when you have mercury poisoning. Chlorella is a genus of single-cell green algae. Unlike cilantro, it is not a natural chelator. But what it CAN do, is mobilize mercury in the body without safely removing it from the body. Are you noticing the theme yet? Sh*t stirrers, but not sh*t removers.

Number three, No high dose IV chelation

This includes IV DMPS, Glutathione, EDTA and challenge tests. Doing any of these is like playing Russian roulette. IV chelators flood your system with heavy metals & cause sometimes irreversible damage. The amount of metals an IV moves is far too much for the liver to handle. Number four, the most important of all.. NO amalgam fillings.

By this I mean make sure all amalgam (Silver mercury) fillings have been removed before you embark on your detox journey. What's the point in trying to remove something when you have a constant source of it, it's like trying to vacuum the beach. Once amalgams are removed safely, you can ask your dentist for bite wing xrays, before getting the new non toxic fillings in. This is to make sure there isn't even one little speck of mercury. This includes any potential mercury under crowns, even if that means lifting them up to look. img source

So while we become desperate to get our health back as quickly as we can once we become sick, please research & make sure first. Listen to your body. Take it slow, look after yourself!

That's all for today's healthy as fork blog.
