Allah berfirman di dalam surat Al-Waqi'ah ayat 29 yang bunyinya و طلح منضود artinya "pohon pisang yang bersusun-susun (buahnya)". Ketika Allah menyebutkan buah Pisang dalam firman-Nya, sebagai hamba ada baiknya kita melihat beberapa kelebihan pisang.
