Health is wealth and this is a fact that cannot be disputed. The state of your health determines how well other aspects of your life would do. A day under the weather may earn you a day off work, but the workload waiting for you when you get back will have you wishing you did not come up with that nasty cold. This is one of the many reasons, why prevention will always supersede cure. Not to worry, if you just follow the few tips below, you would certainly be taking a big step in the right direction.
° Get Enough Sleep
Sleep is to the body, what jam is to bread- it makes things definitely better. It is understandable and only to be expected that with our busy schedules, we may stop seeing the need for sleep. This does not change a thing though. Sleep is necessary for the body to function properly and should not be neglected. Lack of sleep doesn't just reduce mental and physical performance, it also affects the psych. What is more, is that all those hours spent working instead of sleeping, may just building towards future weight gain and obesity. Please, get those much needed hours of rest!
° Drink Lots of Water
Drink water, more water, and even more water. Water aids metabolism a great deal, boosts loss of calories, washes out toxins, keep you hydrated and your skin, fresh and glowing, every day. It also keeps the fevers from stress, at bay.
° Avoid Processed Junk Foods
You may want to avoid junk foods altogether. As satisfying as they are, they are nothing but trouble and bad news. Junk foods are low in fibres, proteins, but taking the lead in unhealthy ingredients that are dangerous to your heath. The fact they are addictive, only makes it worse. Those burgers and pastries are not your friends.
° Proteins, Veggies and Fruits
Prebiotic fibres, vitamins, and minerals lower the risks of diseases. Coronary, and the likes. Protein on its own, helps weight loss and boosts metabolism. There is more! Protein also help to cut down your cravings. If these have been lacking in your diet, you really need to stock up!
° Crack Some Nuts
Nuts are loaded with Magnesium, vitamin E, fibre and mineral nutrients. They help with weight loss, and reduce risks of diabetes and hearts diseases. Nuts also boosts metabolism. Almonds and tiger nuts are very nice for the body.
° Fatty Fish
Salmons are very rich in Omega-3 fatty acids. They lower the risk of diseases, dementia and depression. They are also quite delicious.
° Exercise Regularly
Cardios, running, jogging, Cycling, home work outs, yoga, whichever works for you, do it! Get in good shape, in and out!
° Love Coffee
Contrary to popular belief, coffee is healthy. It is rich in antioxidants and reduces the risk of type 2 diabetes, and Parkinson's disease. However, its addiction is not advised.
