Both special physical education and Adapted Sports, whether at the therapeutic, recreational or competitive levels, contribute to:
The rehabilitation that favors the continuous process aimed at avoiding or restoring a weakened physical capacity.
The normalization or process by which it tries to be normal the way of life of a person with disability.
Personal autonomy or ability to act for oneself without dependence.
Social integration and inclusion, that is, limiting situations are reduced, fostering changes and favoring social equality.
Promote and enhance the desire for personal improvement.
Collaboration in the suppression of architectural, psychological and social barriers.
The improvement of self-esteem and personal development.
I am infinitely grateful for the Adapted Sport because it showed me skills that I never thought I could have, it made me more independent both in my home and in the street when leaving without any companion, it gives me more agility and confidence to develop freely, In short, Adapted Sports made me the person I am today and the one I am very proud to be.
