Its believed that people have been drinking coffee since the 10th century, possibly earlier. Historians believed it first originated in Ethiopia. Back then coffee leaves were boiled in water and the resulting mix was consume because of its medicinal properties. There are many legends surrounding why people started consuming it , but its believed the main reason was because it was a great stimulant giving the consumer great vitality.
Today, coffee is indeed one of the most popular drinks in the world. Arabica bean is my favorite because of its rich flavor. Robusta bean doesn't have a strong flavor but it has more caffeine and its also easier to grow.

Over the last decades coffee has been studied over and over, and studies have found that coffee drinkers may have reduced the risk of:

. Type 2 diabetes
. Cirrhosis
. Uterine and liver cancer
. Cardiovascular diseases
. Parkinson's
. Gout ( inflammatory arthritis )
. Helps increase fiber intake
. Lower Risk of Multiple Sclerosis
. Reduces suicide risk and Depression https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/8604958?dopt=AbstractPlus
. Coffee is the number one source of Antioxidants in the U.S., according to researchers at the University of Scranton.

Of course moderation is important, drinking more than two cups of coffee a day is not such a good idea, especially if you suffer from anxiety.
I prefer my coffee black with a little bit of honey, sometimes I like adding unsweetened almond milk.
Avoid adding refine sugars to your coffee, used honey instead, is more beneficial, in my opinion.
